3 types of dump truck trailers.

1. End dump trailers.

End dump trailers, also known as rear dump trailers, work by unloading cargo into the rear area. With a well-designed unloading mechanism, the operation can be well kept safe.

With the rear of the trailer locked, you can load the cargo in that position. When you reach your destination, the front part of the tipping trailer lifts up, causing your cargo to fall from the rear.

LUYI dump trailers are available in different load capacities: 24 cu. ft., 30 cu. ft., 35 cu. ft., 45 cu. ft. and in different types: standard, U-shaped dump trailers, flatbed container dump trailers, skeleton dump trailers, side dump truck trailers.

Van Body is available in rectangular and U-shaped types.

✱ The box type is designed sturdy to counteract the thrust during the tipping of the trailer. It is cheap and easy to produce. It is a widely used option worldwide.

✱ U-shaped dump trailers unload faster and more thoroughly than other options in the industry market. Most importantly, it is a lightweight trailer that provides you with a large load capacity. 2.

2. Side dump trailers.

Side dump trailers allow you to unload from the side, and for good reason. You may be forced to dump sideways in areas where there isn't enough room. However, side dump trailers can be loaded with more than rear dump trailers.

Side dump trailers utilize a hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor as well as a dump bucket on one side. The other side gives you the option to open and lock it during operation.

3. HOWO dump trailer.

Depending on your requirements, the engine can be chosen from 290~420hp. choosing short wheelbase can improve the strength of the frame and the passability of the vehicle. For tipping system, you can choose middle top or front top.

These trucks are usually driven on city roads with a driving distance of less than 200 km. 336hp or 380hp engine power is the best choice. Choose a 6X4 or 8X4 tractor depending on the load capacity. For distances of more than 200 km, it is better to use the 8X4 to carry more loads.

LUYI can provide customers with different models according to different workplaces and load requirements. Such as HOWO 6×4 tipper truck, HOWO 8×4 dump truck.

New dump truck inspection

1. Check whether the hydraulic oil tank is sufficient, otherwise it must be filled up according to the required oil level. Also check the manual operation valve, air circuit for leakage and hydraulic system for leakage.

2. Under no-load condition, carry out lifting test according to the operating procedures of the dumping mechanism.

3. In the lifting process, pay attention to check whether the hydraulic cylinder, gear pump, control valve and other components work normally, such as hydraulic lifting without jamming, bouncing, strange noise, etc.

4. After 8-10 times of no-load lifting test, it works normally. It can be said that the dumping performance is good and will not leak oil and air.

Maintenance knowledge

1. After mentioning the new dump trailer, you must fill up the fuel for the first time. This is to check whether the fuel gauge of the new dump trailer is accurate.

2. For the economy of the vehicle, it is not necessary to fill up the fuel tank in the future except for the first time. Generally, it can be increased to 2/3. Be aware that the fuel tank is almost as full as an adult.

3. The best time to refuel is in the morning, especially in the hot summer, to avoid having a large amount of fuel in the tank, resulting in less refueling. When the indicator light of fuel gauge is on, refueling should be done immediately. Otherwise, the diesel pump may be burned up because there is too little diesel in the tank to distribute the heat of the diesel pump.

Dump Truck Maintenance Costs

Maintaining dump trucks can be very expensive. In addition to tires (which can cost up to $1,000 each), regular maintenance, fueling and insurance are performed. In particular, dump trucks tend to consume fuel at a very high rate. They can travel 3 to 6 miles per gallon of gasoline, but of course, they are not used for cruising vehicles.

There is an additional cost: the driver's fee. An employee, or even yourself, needs to be qualified to drive a dump truck, which may mean that the employee's salary may be higher than your average driver.
